Lilly Reale (Hingham, Mass.), who’s arguably New England’s top Class of 2021 player, verbally committed to UCLA earlier this week.
Reale, a U.S. U-17 national team center back and longtime South Shore Select standout, had previously verbally committed to Boston College the summer before her freshman year.
But that decision came when former head coach Alison Foley was at the helm, and Reale began to explore her options last February. Naturally, it was hard to say “no” when the 2013 national champions and Pac-12 powerhouse came calling.
