In late June, Connecticut FC sent two teams out to California to compete in the Champions League division of ECNL Playoffs.
While neither their U-15s nor U-17s booked a spot in the ECNL Finals this coming weekend in Virginia, co-director Matt Micros viewed the trip as a success.
That particularly applied to their U-17 team, which finished narrowly behind Mustang SC and second overall in Group B. Thus concluded a season of finishing third in the Northeast Conference, which is traditionally one of the country’s toughest ECNL divisions.
