Thanks to a second half that UMass head coach Jason Dowiak felt contained “some of the best soccer” they've played during his three years at the helm, the Atlantic 10 program is officially in the win column this spring.
The Minutewomen grabbed a 2-0 victory over Stony Brook on Wednesday afternoon at home, besting the reigning America East champions.
UMass (1-1) also shook off the sting of a 1-0 defeat at St. John’s over the weekend, leaning on goals from freshman midfielder Ella Curry and senior forward Fatou Barry.
