The plan always was to end up at Keene State. It just took a year at New England College and a spell at NHTI-Concord’s Community College to get there.
That’s the brief version of Emmanuel Smith’s (Concord, N.H.) collegiate path, which now includes a breakout season in the Little East Conference. Through 10 games, he has nine goals and five assists.
Head coach Rick Scott described how it’s all coincided with shifting Smith to the wing, sparked by former high school All-American James McCully (Eastham, Mass.) transferring in from Division 1 University of New Hampshire. They’ve formed an immediate partnership, with Smith wide left and McCully in the No. 10 role.
