Dren Dobruna (Waterbury, Conn.) had a “memorable” experience this past March, earning an invitation to New York City FC’s first-team preseason trip to Florida ahead of the 2021 MLS campaign.
The 15-year-old left back appeared in scrimmages against Chicago Fire FC and Orlando City SC, subbing on both times for Iceland national team defender Gudmundur Thorarinsson.
