New England is no stranger to high-end Division 3 men’s soccer, with top-10 sides Tufts, Connecticut College and St. Joseph’s (Maine) all local.
That gives the region a strong chance to reclaim its first national title since Tufts lifted silverware in 2016, but there’s also plenty local flavor outside of New England. In fact, the nation’s current top 25 teams are littered with in-region players making profound impacts.
The majority of such players come out of the University Athletic Association, while a perennial D3 national title contender boasts a trio of New Englanders.
From all that, New England Soccer Journal has highlighted 15 out-of-region players to keep an eye on. Their hometowns are all local, with roots covering every local state except Vermont. The below 15 players are listed alphabetically.
