As Division 1 women’s soccer teams take the field and play their season openers across the country tomorrow, local players are poised to provide major contributions for programs beyond the region.
National championship contenders and perennial powers will be relying on players who call New England home to help them fulfill their aspirations in 2022.
With that said, we highlighted 10 players from New England that will be major contributors for D1 programs outside of our six-state region. Of those included, eight are from Massachusetts and two are from Connecticut.
This story isn’t meant to be a ranking or declaration of top-end players. Rather, it’s intended to spotlight New England natives shining outside of the region.
