When college coaches recruit future players and secure a commitment, they, of course, hope for the best. But there's no way to truly know how things will pan out until those freshmen arrive on campus.
That question is no longer in the balance for the below 10 freshmen, who have all left their stamp on programs throughout New England. Many are youth internationals for their respective countries, while others played for top club programs.
We've also included a section with five honorable-mention players. Of the 15 total players included, nine have hometowns in the region.
