Transfers: 15 notable additions to D1 men’s programs across New England

If you were to divide up a college coach's recruiting hours, a significant chunk would be devoted to high school-aged players. But it's certainly not the only bucket coaches peruse, as they look to leave no stone unturned.

That's where the transfer portal can prove lucrative, which starts with players essentially flagging that they're open to new beginnings. Conversations then arise, and programs can add experienced players who, in theory, contribute from the get-go.

That exact dynamic is found across New England's Division I scene during the 2020-21 season. While transfers likely won't compete until the Spring 2021 semester (if not later) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they're still establishing roles in programs across the region.
