Unique college soccer roster situations are inevitable during the 2021 season after mass cancellations and postponements this fall in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gap years, semesters off and deferred enrollments are all likely.
Those factors will soon impact NESCAC powerhouse Amherst, one year removed from advancing to the Division III men’s national final against Tufts.
In an upcoming episode of New England Soccer Journal’s podcast, head coach Justin Serpone revealed that all seven of their seniors will return for the 2021 season. The Mammoths will also welcome back-to-back freshmen classes, strengthening a roster that’s already among the country’s best.
