Sofia Weber admits to being a little intimidated beginning her first season with the CT Fusion of United Women’s Soccer in mid-May.
The New Hampshire native and Hotchkiss School product was coming off a freshman year at UConn that saw her play in nine of the team’s 12 matches, and she recognized early that she was joining a talented, determined summer group, and one with a track record of success both on this second-level team and in college.
“In the beginning it was pretty intimidating coming in,” said Weber, a center back. “We had a lot of girls who were talented and wanted to be there, and they were working hard.”
