For a decade now, Connecticut FC has had a front row seat and an important hand in the development of Peyton McNamara (Norwalk, Conn.), one of the more dynamic players in the region at the U-17 level.
A midfielder by trade, McNamara’s versatility and a strong technical game have allowed her to excel for her club, where in 2017-18 she was just one of three New England players to be named an ECNL All-American.
“What makes Peyton special is that she has a great touch; technically she is magnificent, but she also is a very smart player, has great vision and she can make the pass that a lot of people miss. She sees things one, two passes ahead,” said Matt Micros, her coach at CFC for the past three seasons.
