Community is often the heartbeat of successful high school soccer programs, and things are no different with Yarmouth's (Maine) boys varsity team in 2020.
The Clippers have won five of the past six Class B state championships, including one in 2019 with players like All-American midfielder Alejandro Coury (now at Worcester Academy), Messiah goalkeeper Isaac Owen and Saint Joseph’s defender Aidan Hickey.
Those standouts are gone from last year’s 15-0-3 team, of course, but head coach Mike Hagerty believes the same principles still apply.
