Carles Gil has committed his long-term future to the New England Revolution, as it was announced Monday that the midfielder has re-signed through 2024.
Gil originally came to New England in 2019 as a Designated Player, a marquee signing under then-head coach Brad Friedel as he departed Spain’s top leagues.
Ever since, the Spanish No. 10 has only reinforced his place among the premier chance-creators in MLS. He currently leads the league in assists (4), chances created (38), dribbles completed (25) and other key metrics, reflecting his importance to Bruce Arena’s side.
