Perhaps Fortress Foxboro is returning for the New England Revolution.
Bruce Arena’s side swept aside the 10-man New York Red Bulls by a 3-1 scoreline on Saturday evening, making it four wins from four attempts at Gillette Stadium to begin the 2021 MLS season.
This strong start comes in contrast to the 2020 campaign, when New England went 2W-3L-5D in friendly confines while spending just one of those matches (home-opener against Chicago Fire FC) before fans. Now, the Revolution can host a limited-capacity crowd as COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are loosened and vaccination rates increase across Massachusetts.
