It’s been over a decade since Boston College and Yale squared off – their last meeting was on Oct. 6, 2009 – but that’ll all change Thursday night in Newton, Mass.
That’s when BC (8-5-3) will host No. 25 Yale (13-2-2) in the first round of the NCAA tournament, marking the only early meeting between two programs from New England. Providence and New Hampshire could meet in the quarterfinals, while Rhode Island can’t meet a local program until College Cup in mid-December.
While the Eagles and Bulldogs don’t have a ton of recent history, they share a mutual level of respect.
