Providence College and the University of Connecticut are preparing for a fall season in the Big East after last year’s campaign was held entirely in the spring.
UConn’s return to the Big East last spring produced some achievements: an 8-3-1 overall record after three straight sub-.500 seasons, and a berth in the conference semifinals, where the team’s season was ended by Butler, 2-1.
Providence also enjoyed success: a 7-2-3 record that did not include a home loss, though it just missed out on qualifying for the conference tournament.
