Over a month has passed since the 2020-21 college soccer season ended for teams across New England, making it time to sort through postseason awards.
New England Soccer Journal has dished out eight awards around the region’s Division I women’s scene, recognizing top performances from the spring-heavy campaign. The likes of UConn, Providence and Central Connecticut State lead the way.
The local awards are as follows: Goalkeeper of the Year, Defender of the Year, Midfielder of the Year, Forward of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Breakout Player of the Year and Coach of the Year. We’ve also determined a “Top Local Beyond New England” honoree.
