In light of Thursday’s announcement that Austin Preparatory School plans to join the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), effective at the start of the 2022-23 academic year, excitement abounds within the school’s athletic programs.
Austin Prep girls soccer coach Tim Phelan certainly expressed that sentiment to the New England Soccer Journal.
"We're thrilled to join an organization like the NEPSAC that has such a great reputation for excellence," said Phelan.
Phelan’s AP girls program has been a perennial power as a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA). In 2021, the team advanced to the Round of 8 in the Division 3 state tournament.
