A one-off conference realignment, the shortened schedule and a reduced Atlantic 10 tournament were all factors in keeping perennial contenders Massachusetts and Rhode Island from getting their crack at a conference crown in the spring.
With things back to full-tilt, both programs are setting their sights on reinserting themselves firmly into the mixture of top tier challengers.
