Myles Culley (Falmouth, Maine) has always had aspirations to play Division 1 college soccer.
However, those aspirations were complicated by the fact that he missed just about his entire junior and sophomore seasons of high school, due to a torn hamstring injury that required surgery and significant recovery time. That injury also ended his time with the Philadelphia Union Academy and caused him to move back to Maine and return to high school soccer and join Seacoast United MLS NEXT.
Culley returned to the field in 2022 to play his senior season for the Waynflete School (Portland, Maine). The 6-foot, 165-pound forward/midfielder led the Flyers to a 16-1-1 record and the Class C state championship. Culley tied a state-record with 52 goals, including a state title game record five in a 6-1 win over Fort Kent High. He also added 15 assists on the season. Culley was named the 2022-23 Gatorade Maine Boys Soccer Player of the Year and also had a terrific year with Seacoast as a senior.
