It was during a trip to Dublin, Ireland, last summer with friends, that set the wheels in motion for Callum Rigby’s (Marblehead, Mass.) college future.
While overseas, the Class of 2023 standout midfielder for St. John’s Prep and Aztec Soccer visited Trinity College Dublin and decided he wanted to apply there.
Rigby’s father is from Manchester, England, and he’s traveled there frequently with his family. Because of that familiarity, Rigby had already planned to apply to universities in England. But Trinity quickly became his first choice after he saw it.
Recently, Rigby officially chose Trinity College Dublin as his new academic home, beginning in August. He’ll also continue to play soccer at the school.
