For players in the Class of 2027, the date has likely been in the back of their minds for quite some time.
June 15 marks the first day when college coaches can officially initiate direct recruiting conversations with high school athletes who will be juniors in September for the 2025-26 academic year. This includes phone calls, emails, and other forms of electronic communication.
Through their performances at national showcases and other high-profile events, many players in the Class of 2027 have already put themselves on the radars of college coaches across the country. In the coming weeks and months, the recruiting process will ramp up significantly for those players, and commitments will follow.
