After 11 full seasons at the helm, Christian Figueroa is no longer the head men’s soccer coach at UMass Lowell.
UMass Lowell Director of Athletics Peter Casey has announced the start of a national search for the next head coach of the River Hawks’ program. Under Figueroa, UML finished the 2021 season at 4-11-1 and 3-5 in America East Conference play. That was after the team went 1-6-1 in the delayed and shortened 2020 season last winter/spring.
"Christian is no longer an employee of the university. A national search is currently underway," Casey told New England Soccer Journal via text message.
