U.S. Soccer's U-20, U-19 and U-17 national teams will convene from Jan. 4-13 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., for a three-team training camp.
The U-20 camp will include two New England natives as the group builds toward the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland this spring. Last November, the U.S. won the Concacaf U-20 championship over Mexico, earning automatic qualification and regional bragging rights.
Part of those efforts and this January camp is Justin Rennicks, currently a sophomore forward at Indiana University.
The Hamilton, Mass., native is a New England Revolution Academy forward, though a recent report suggests a Homegrown Player deal isn't imminent.
