As of late, the Division 3 men's soccer landscape in New England has been dominated by Tufts, Brandeis and Amherst. NCAA titles and trips to the Final Four will earn such acclaim.
But ahead of the 2018 season, several programs could threaten that trio's place atop the region's best. The NESCAC is a gauntlet from which three or four teams can make a deep postseason run, Saint Joseph's College has gone rampant in the GNAC and Endicott and Gordon are both top CCC programs. Further, the NEWMAC consistently produces several highly-competitive teams, and talent runs deep in the Little East.
To take stock of how it's all shaping up, New England Soccer Journal presents its preseason top 10 teams. Throughout the season, weekly stories – rankings, features and more – will follow suit.
