With the USL League Two season nearly upon us, it's time to take a step back and look at the broader player pool.
Dozens of former (and some current) prep school, Development Academy and club players with roots to New England can be found on rosters. Some, however, will be more impactful than others.
To preview what's in store, New England Soccer Journal has ranked 15 players with ties to the region to watch for this spring and summer. All have college soccer connections in some form or another, as USL League Two continues to provide a solid professional pathway for those in the NCAA.
These 15 have the early inside edge and should be pivotal pieces.
