In some ways, it was a good problem for Rebecca Capinera to have two weeks ago for matches against Worcester Academy and Deerfield Academy.
Capinera, Northfield Mount Hermon's girls varsity coach, was without junior goalkeeper María Echezarreta Fernández. Not for injuries, academic concerns or disciplinary issues. Far from it.
Rather, Echezarreta Fernández was away with Spain's U-19 national team for a trio of friendlies against fellow UEFA teams. Although the Hoggers lost both NEPSAC games, Capinera knows it was for the best.
