The 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy Watch Lists have been announced, and six players from or playing in New England have made the cut for the award given annually to college soccer’s top player.
Four men’s players comprise the initial list of 36 nominees, with the University of New Hampshire bringing home three representatives. Meanwhile, two of the 61 women’s players nominated are from the region. They both compete in the Patriot League.
The Watch Lists are determined by the men’s and women’s United Soccer Coaches Division 1 All-American committees, with 15 semifinalists determined towards the end of the season. Three finalists will be chosen from those candidates, with the winners announced in January 2020 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
