NBC Sports announcer Robbie Mustoe believes MLS teams should become more youthful.
“I would love to see MLS teams trust younger players, give them the game time,” said Mustoe, who began his professional career as an 18-year-old defender with Oxford United. “Worldwide, in football, younger players are trusted more.”
Mustoe, a Lexington, Mass., resident, worked as an assistant coach at Bentley University in 2006 and Boston College in 2007 before going into broadcasting. He also made nearly 500 professional appearances across England's various top leagues, scoring 36 goals.
