It's been nearly two decades since a team from New England emerged as champions at College Cup, as UConn raised the trophy in 2000 after downing Creighton.
Now, the Huskies have a long way to go before they enter the championship conversation, but it's clear that they're the early favorites in New England. That's at least what the results say after New England Soccer Journal's preseason coaches poll.
Head coaches from around the region voted for their top 10 teams, then point totals were tallied up and sorted on our end. The end result is an early rook at New England's top 15 Division 1 programs for the 2019 season.
A lot can change between now and playoff time in November, but here's an early indication of how the field is stacking up.
