One of the country’s top Division I programs came calling, helping Michael Tsicoulias (Newton, Mass.) make his Class of 2021 decision in short order.
The New England Revolution Academy forward verbally committed to the University of Virginia earlier this week, maintaining a long trend of locals joining the ACC side. The Cavaliers have won seven national titles and twice finished as runner-up, including last fall against Georgetown.
Tsicoulias began discussions with UVA's coaching staff about a month ago, and then Zoom video conference calls turned into an official offer.
