Madalyn Theriault (Palmer, Mass.), one of New England’s top Class of 2022 forwards, verbally committed to Fairfield University earlier this week.
A standout for Scorpions SC in the Elite Clubs National League, the 16-year-old is the latest local talent to join up with the Stags. Her recruiting class also includes South Shore Select forward Samantha Kersey (Mashpee, Mass.) and FC Stars/Worcester Academy defender Kelsie Wandyes (Sutton, Mass.).
Theriault, who generated plenty of Division I interest, stressed how important relationship building was as she searched for a college soccer home.
