Joe Turco (South Kingstown, R.I.) lives just a couple miles from the University of Rhode Island.
He grew up closely following the URI men’s soccer team and attending matches. In fact, this past fall, he watched every single home game for the program. Meanwhile, Turco plays his club soccer for Rams FC, a youth soccer club for boys and girls based out of the University of Rhode Island, and he's been coached by URI associate head coach Tony Bassett.
Thus, it comes as no surprise that when it came time to select his college destination, the Class of 2022 outside back at South Kingstown High School chose a program that he had a huge familiarity with. Turco has committed to play at Division 1 Rhode Island.
