Before Annie Renz (Milton, Mass.) even began the recruiting process, the University of New Hampshire was on her radar.
She first stepped foot on the Durham, N.H. campus when she was in the sixth grade, when the school was hosting a soccer summer camp. She immediately enjoyed being around the UNH players and coaches who helped run the camp, and loved the campus as a whole.
She went back to the university in the seventh and eighth grade, when she was eligible to participate in the ID camp that was held there.
"From the beginning, I could tell that (head) coach (Steve) Welham emphasized the family component of their team culture and that stood out to me because I could tell that UNH was a very supportive environment," said Renz. "They have great academic and athletic facilities, and I knew I’d have the support to be a successful student-athlete at UNH."
