Every aspiring college athlete dreams of one thing: being offered an opportunity to play at the NCAA Division 1 level.
For FSA FC Class of 2026 center back Bella Salina (Berlin, Conn.), she earned it.
Salina, a versatile defender/midfielder who also plays for Miss Porter's, recently committed to the University of Kansas, and is overjoyed with excitement. Having longed for the day she was able to commit, Salina wanted to share her commitment with the people in her life who mattered the most, her parents.
"Obviously, I was just overwhelmed with happiness. All I've ever wanted in my life was to go somewhere for college soccer. I was just excited. Before I committed, I was at Kansas with both my parents. I went back to the hotel room and called them first," Salina said. "It's my decision, but I want my family to be part of it. They both supported me 100%."
