If you stop by a Suffield Academy boys’ soccer game, you’ll likely immediately notice the impact of Gavin Baer and Michael Adu-Gyamfi.
But for different reasons.
The 6-foot-2-inch Baer is a physically imposing defender who thrives in 1v1 matchups and constantly wins balls with his size. On the other hand, Adu-Gyamfi is a lightning-quick striker who netted 19 goals during a breakout fall season.
Together, they helped Suffield capture the NEPSAC Class B title with an 8-1 win over Williston Northampton last November.
Moving forward, though, the standout Class of 2026 duo will compete against each other for the next four years. In April, Baer committed to Northwestern, while Adu-Gyamfi inked a commitment with Indiana, making the close-knit teammates future Big 10 rivals.
