As a professional soccer player, Rachel Bloznalis (Upton, Mass.) is disappointed by the start of Sweden’s Damallsvenskan season being delayed.
But as a former health science major at Boston University, Bloznalis is impressed by the European country's reaction to the spread of COVID-19.
Bloznalis, 24, the 2017 Patriot League Defender of the Year while at BU, joined Djurgardens IF this season after two years with Umea IK in the Elitettan second division. Bloznalis has been named a vice-captain of the team and started in central defense as Djurgardens took a 4-2 win over AIK Solna in a cup match last month.
