To find success, every team needs some semblance of balance, a yin and a yang of players who, despite their differences, complement each other.
For the Middlesex School, that all manifests in Joshua Quirk and Jacob Charles. Now seniors, head coach Kenneth Risley knows he has something special in the two forwards.
“They balance each other really well,” Risley said. “Josh is a really creative player and is shifty, but his brain is two steps ahead of most people. He sees movements and can time the cutback or can play that ball into Jacob. With Jacob, he changes pace so well and can open his hips to finish.”
