With one week of official competition in the books, New England Soccer Journal presents its first 2018 in-season coaches poll.
The responses, submitted anonymously, resulted in little shake-up at the top, but the bottom tier has some Independent School League teams on the move. Of note, Brooks, last year's ISL and Class B tournament champions, has dropped out of the Top 10 entirely.
This poll comes after NEPSAC coaches voted in a preseason poll, so results from that are included for reference. Standouts from the past week's games are also noted.
While most NEPSAC teams play Wednesday, the big event on everyone's radar screen is the Northeast Soccer Jamboree, held Sunday at Loomis Chaffee in Windsor, Conn. The annual showcase event draws dozens of college coaches from all divisions and parts of the country.
