Alyssa Bourgeois (Maynard, Mass.) should have a bright future ahead in the professional ranks.
After her senior season at Santa Clara last fall, the Houston Dash selected her with the fifth pick in the fourth round (47th overall) of the NWSL Draft. After transferring from Boston University, the 5-foot-3 defender helped the Broncos to NCAA Tournament appearances in each of her three seasons at Santa Clara.
The former Maynard High and NEFC standout played in 51 matches for the Broncos, starting in 43 and finishing with a goal and six assists.
