When Bermuda competed last week in the 2020 Concacaf U-20 championship qualifying tournament, five players with ties to prep school soccer represented the island nation.
Berkshire junior Peter Silvester and St. Thomas More senior Jaiden Manders were the two goalkeepers on the 20-man roster. Two center backs also have local ties, with Avon Old Farms junior Amir Thomas and Northwood junior Arnezha Astwood both seeing serious minutes.
There was even a NEPSAC alumnus, with South Kent product and Southern Connecticut University freshman Jalun Hassell rostered at forward.
