The 2023 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Draft took place on Thursday night, during the United Soccer Coaches Convention at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
The draft featured 48 total selections over four rounds for the league's 12 teams, and New England factored into the mix with two of the selections having connections to the region.
Leading the way was Notre Dame forward and former FC Stars standout Olivia Wingate (Wilmington, Mass.), who went in the first round and sixth overall to the North Carolina Courage.
