From a personal standpoint, the highlight of Kelyn Rowe’s professional career arguably arose during the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup, when he broke into the US men’s national team under then-head coach Bruce Arena.
After a frustrating 2019 season across two different MLS clubs, Rowe is hoping that relationship with Arena could reignite his career. That was at least the sentiment earlier this week, when it was announced that the 28-year-old midfielder had signed as a free agent with the New England Revolution.
“New England is a special place to me that feels like home and I’m happy for the opportunity to represent the Revolution again,” Rowe said in a team release. “I’m also very excited to work with Bruce. He had me briefly when I was at my best and wants to push me to become greater next season.”
