WINDSOR, Conn. – At the Northeast Soccer Jamboree, held annually at Loomis Chaffee, it was hard not to notice the team in all-white jerseys with a simple “N” for their logo. They moved the ball swiftly from front to back, finished with poise and defended well.
Still, some coaches were left inquiring as to which prep school program it was, one that ultimately beat Phillips Andover, 4-0.
Turns out the group was Northwood School, part of Jon Moodey’s latest venture in the prep soccer world. A coach who rose in prominence at Berkshire earlier this decade, Moodey has spent the last several years building up Black Rock FC, starting a prep school-only league this past spring and a PDL side over the summer.
