When head coach Chris Kane reflects on Milton Academy’s 2015 team that won the NEPSAC Class A title, he knows the attacking talent flowed.
Jerry Ozor went on to play at Boston University, Luca Levee progressed onto Maryland and Amos Shapiro-Thompson, committed to Virginia, recently played in a first-team friendly for Polish club Legia Warsaw.
But without the Mustangs’ defense – featuring the likes of now-Messiah defender Shay Quintin and now-Lafayette midfielder Adam Bramson – Kane insists they wouldn’t have beat Northfield Mount Hermon in the championship game.
“Those [defensive guys] were equally important if not more important,” Kane said. “Shay was probably our best player that year, but he didn’t get all the accolades or score all the goals.”
