Oftentimes, teenagers can be indecisive about a major decision. But when 16-year-old Noel Buck (Arlington, Mass.) was presented with his dream opportunity, there was nothing to think about.
The New England Revolution signed Buck, a midfielder and the 2021 Revolution Academy Player of the Year, to a Homegrown Player contract through the 2025 MLS season with an additional one-year club option. Buck, who has been developing in the Revolution Academy since age 12, becomes the eighth Revolution Academy product to ascend to the first team roster. He won’t turn 17 until April, and becomes the youngest active member of the Revolution’s MLS roster, and the club’s second-youngest Homegrown Player signing to date.
"Honestly, when I was offered the opportunity to sign to the Revolution, it wasn’t really too hard of a decision," said Buck. "It’s always been my dream to play professional soccer, and especially on my hometown club, who I’ve been with, like, all my life – it’s a no-brainer."
