It’s been several weeks since colleges around New England moved to remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with international and domestic players returning home.
As those same players adjust to classes held over Zoom and Google Hangouts, they’re also left figuring out what their spring season looks like. The answers are certainly unorthodox, with scrimmages, practices and conditioning sessions replaced by at-home workouts and on-ball exercises.
It’s a lost development period for players and coaches, who are left eying preseason camp in August when, hopefully, college soccer gets underway.
