With colleges across New England moving to remote learning and spring athletic seasons cancelled en masse due to COVID-19’s spread, the college soccer world has been thrown for a whirl.
Instead of Division 1, 2 and 3 programs training together and laying the foundation for next year, they’re left reliant on Zoom conference calls and fitness packets to train.
College coaches, just like leaders in all sectors of business and society, are figuring things out on the fly. That’s at least what UMass women’s head coach Jason Dowiak stressed, noting that they’re using the Beast Mode Soccer app as a guide.
