New Hampshire senior forward Jacob Gould (Exeter, N.H.) knows how fortunate he is, making the NCAA tournament each year he’s been at the America East program.
So when the captain looks at the Wildcats’ (8-0-1) latest opportunity, he sees a potential plant-your-flag-in-the-ground moment. They’re an experienced bunch, after all.
As revealed in Monday’s NCAA tournament selection show, New Hampshire will face Kentucky on May 2 (2 pm ET) in the second round. The 36-team field is convening in the Cary, North Carolina area to reduce traveling while competing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
